The Barrick Africa Middle East Team is seeking to recruit a Mobile Equipment Operator II – Truck to join and grow its team.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
- Safely operating the underground haul truck by adhering to all safety operating procedures.
- Performing pre-start checks, refuelling, and washing equipment.
- Performing other duties as instructed by the shift supervisor.
- Ensuring their own health and safety, as well as the health and safety of others.
- Ensuring the oncoming operator is given all relevant information relating to the current status and condition of working areas.
- Working with technical and supervisory staff in quality and safety initiatives.
- Completing all tasks at the required rate and to the required standard.
- Complying with all applicable mine safe work procedures and safe operating procedures.
- Participating in all applicable safety, pre-start, and shift team meetings.
Qualification requirements
Applicants should have the following qualifications:
- Ordinary secondary school education.
- Heavy mobile equipment operation skills.
Experience and competencies needed
Applicants should have the following experience and competencies:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar industry.
- Experience in underground hard rock mining mobile equipment operation.
- Valid Tanzanian driver’s licence.
- Understanding of basic Mines Health and Safety Act.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to perceive risks and prevent hazardous situations or circumstances before they occur.
