Key purpose of the role
The key purpose of this role is to operate, maintain, repair, and optimise plant and associated devices to ensure plant availability and product quality at minimum cost without sacrificing standards.
Key roles and responsibilities
The Process Artisan will be responsible for the following duties:
- Safely operate plant, identify and highlight unsafe work practices so that these may be corrected.
- Carry out work according to the work instructions and adhere to the appropriate AB InBev policies and procedures.
- Carry out housekeeping tasks and apply 5S principles.
- Record and interpret process critical parameters in logbooks, SIC, and other relevant records.
- Take part in maintenance planning meetings by contributing suggestions and clarifying work required.
- Assist fellow team members in the execution of their tasks during planned maintenance windows.
- Participate in cleaning, lubrication, and inspection by the maintenance team.
- Resolve problems uncovered during routine maintenance using the appropriate problem-solving techniques.
- Carry out condition monitoring activities where these have been allocated to the Technician by the CM schedule.
- Participate in carrying out running repairs on plant and equipment.
- Where running repairs cannot be carried out, communicate this to the Maintenance Planner to ensure the work is planned into the next planned maintenance window.

The ideal candidate should have the following attributes and competencies:
- Ability to solve problems.
- Ability to communicate technical knowledge to operation staff to improve their skill sets.
- Ability to train, coach, and mentor operation staff on ATO and 5S principles.
- Ability to optimise usages and reduce wastage with permanent solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate.
- Ability to work with no supervision, with strong self-management practices.
Minimum requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in utilities would be advantageous.
- Two years of experience operating utilities plants or working as an Artisan in a similar industry.
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Basic operations of electronic communication devices.
