The Program
TSL’s Graduate Trainee Program is a structured one-year development initiative designed for ambitious recent graduates and early-career professionals seeking to transition into Tanzania’s capital markets.
Trainees will be placed across TSL’s core business functions — Research & Advisory, Global Markets, Asset & Wealth Management, and Marketing—gaining hands-on exposure to real transactions, client engagements, and market operations.
The program may be renewed for up to one additional year based on performance and business availability.
Please note: Completion of the program does not guarantee permanent employment at TSL.
What You Will Gain
Professional Development

Eligibility & Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Tanzanian National.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
- Graduated within the last three years (2023 onwards).
- Demonstrated interest in capital markets, securities, or financial services.
- Open to candidates seeking a career transition into capital markets.
- Strong academic record.
Preferred
- Prior internship or attachment in a financial institution, brokerage, or advisory firm.
- CFA Level I candidate, CISI, or equivalent professional certification in progress.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Active participation in finance clubs, investment societies, or relevant extracurriculars.
