Job overview
LJ Ascendant Group is looking for a hands-on Site Engineer/Works Manager to drive day-to-day execution and field operations at an airport construction site.
The role involves directly overseeing site crews, subcontractors, equipment deployment and field safety to keep operations running on schedule.
Key responsibilities
The Site Engineer will be responsible for:
- Managing day-to-day construction activities on-site and ensuring all work strictly aligns with approved plans and methods.
- Coordinating site logistics, labour allocation, material deliveries and heavy machinery utilisation.
- Interfacing daily with subcontractors, field engineers and client inspectors to maintain workflow.
- Enforcing quality and safety protocols directly at the work face.
- Addressing any bottlenecks or site delays immediately.
- Maintaining detailed daily site logs.
- Tracking work progress against schedule targets.
- Reporting progress to the Project Manager.
