Purpose of the role
Tabono, on behalf of its client, is looking for proactive and dynamic Sales Associates to join its retail operations at Julius Nyerere International Airport.
The Sales Associate will work within the framework of defined internal procedures and commercial objectives. The role involves welcoming customers, guiding them according to their needs, advising them on products, supporting sales growth, handling cash procedures, maintaining product displays, and supporting daily store operations.

Key responsibilities
The Sales Associate will be responsible for the following duties:
- Inviting customers to enter the shop, welcoming them, and guiding them according to their needs.
- Advising customers with in-depth knowledge of the products.
- Selling products to customers and developing additional sales.
- Carrying out the collection of items according to the defined procedure.
- Counting cash, filling out internal cash register slips, and depositing receipts according to the defined procedure.
- Participating in the arrangement of products on shelves in accordance with merchandising rules.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of products in the store.
- Participating in the implementation of commercial campaigns and promotion changes.
- Verifying the labelling of products.
- Participating in stock-taking activities.
- Controlling physical deliveries and ensuring correct placement of products on shelves.
- Performing necessary reporting to the Assistant Manager.
- Reporting any suspicious incidents observed from customers, colleagues, or other staff.
Required profile
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Ability to use initiative.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Positive attitude.
- Good understanding of sales and customer service.
- Previous retail experience of at least 1 year.
- Fluency in Swahili and English.
- Previous cash handling experience.
Additional information
- Monthly gross salary is TZS 600,000, subject to statutory taxes.
- Medical insurance is provided to the employee.
- The shop operates 24/7.
- Employees work on 12-hour shifts under the following arrangement:
- 2 day-time shifts
- 2 night-time shifts
- 2 rest days
