About the role
Quick Solution TZ is seeking a qualified, responsible and experienced Driver Instructor to join its team.
The successful candidate will provide professional theoretical and practical driving instruction to learner drivers. The role involves preparing learners to become safe, confident and responsible road users.
The Driver Instructor will ensure that learners understand vehicle operation, road traffic rules, road safety, defensive driving and proper driving techniques.
Key responsibilities
The Driver Instructor will be responsible for:
- Providing practical driving lessons to learner drivers.
- Teaching learners how to operate and control a vehicle safely.
- Providing theoretical training on road signs, traffic rules, traffic regulations and road safety.
- Teaching defensive driving techniques and responsible road behaviour.
- Assessing learners’ driving skills and providing constructive feedback.
- Preparing learners for driving tests and ensuring they meet the required standards.
- Monitoring and recording learners’ attendance, progress and performance.
- Ensuring that all driving lessons are conducted safely and professionally.
- Inspecting training vehicles before and during lessons and reporting any mechanical or safety issues.
- Maintaining accurate records of training activities and learner progress.
- Demonstrating good driving behaviour and professionalism at all times.
- Conducting training in accordance with applicable road traffic laws and driving school requirements.
- Communicating effectively with learners and guiding them on areas requiring improvement.
- Performing any other driver-training duties assigned by management.
Qualifications and requirements
Applicants must have:
- A Driver’s Instructor Certificate.
- A valid Driver’s Instructor Licence.
- Good knowledge of road traffic rules, regulations and road safety.
- Good communication and teaching skills.
- The ability to train and work with learners from different backgrounds.
- A patient, responsible, reliable and professional approach.
- Safe and responsible driving behaviour.
Previous experience as a Driver Instructor will be an added advantage.
