Position: Corporate Business Manager
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Job Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
1. Revenue Growth
- Drive acquisition of new business from the corporate segment in Tanzania.
- Increase corporate account revenue by 30% year-on-year through effective account farming and hunting strategies.
- Retain existing corporate customers while maintaining customer churn below 3%.
2. Business Acquisition & Market Expansion
- Identify and target organizations currently not utilizing Airtel Tanzania services, including new market entrants and competitor accounts.
- Develop and execute effective sales and call plans.
- Understand prospective customer needs and provide tailored business solutions.
- Conduct sales presentations and face-to-face engagements with potential clients.
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on tenders and business proposals.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Airtel Tanzania’s products and services to support sales efforts.
- Keep accurate sales records and prepare periodic sales reports.
3. Increase Share of Wallet
- Maximize revenue from existing customers through cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
- Introduce customers to new and improved products and services.
- Regularly engage existing customers to identify changing business needs and provide suitable solutions.
4. Debt Management
- Work closely with customer contacts to ensure timely payments.
- Proactively manage accounts receivable and minimize outstanding debts.
5. Innovation & Customer Retention
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to recommend new products and service enhancements.
- Identify opportunities to differentiate Airtel from competitors.
- Work with management to identify and implement upselling opportunities.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and strengthen customer relationships.
- Support marketing initiatives through input on promotional and customer engagement strategies.
6. Key Account Management
- Develop, implement, and monitor account development plans to maximize new and repeat business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, positioning Airtel as a trusted and professional service provider.
- Ensure customer information is accurately captured and updated in Airtel’s customer database.
7. Customer Retention
- Achieve agreed retention targets within the assigned corporate account portfolio.
- Work closely with internal teams to develop customer-centric solutions aligned with Airtel’s capabilities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all sales-related matters within assigned customer accounts.
- Coordinate communication and support for all customer service-related issues.
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications & Technical Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- IT literacy will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience managing corporate business sales and enterprise solutions, including digital infrastructure and digital services (mandatory).
- Experience within specific sectors such as Banking & Finance, Hospitality, Healthcare, or related industries will be an added advantage.
