The role will report to the Country sales manager.<\/p>\n<p>General Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Meet the various revenue targets as agreed on from time to time<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Co-ordinate and supervise the branch staff and ensure that company policies and procedures are observed<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Ensure accurate and competitive quotations are prepared and delivered promptly to prospective clients, brokers and agents<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Develop and maintain excellent relations with Agents, Banks, Brokers and Saled Force Executives and other channels and ensure excellent customer service to existing customers and prospective clients<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Identify and develop new distribution outlets<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Gather marketing intelligence statistics to facilitate development of strategies to give the company a competitive advantage<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Undertake initial underwriting of business to ensure sound acceptance of risk<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Train the Intermediaries on the general insurance products<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 General management and administration of the branch office<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Provide quality underwriting services to minimise potential losses and improve profitability of the branch<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Ensure effective management and incentives for agents and SFEs<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Ensure provision of consistent, high quality and timely underwriting services to clients, sales force executives, agents and brokers<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Provide quality claims management services for the branch to create competitive advantage over other players<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Identify and manage claims service stakeholders and ensure they perform in line with Britam quality standards<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Manage claims for the branch and ensure that loss ratio is within acceptable levels<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Manage all expenses for the branch and ensure optimal use of company resources to improve profitability of the branch<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Control and manage debtors\u2019 ratio for the branch through timely premium collections<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Implement targeted business development initiatives to drive product lines for the branch<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Maintaining viable communication line with company\u2019s top management so that they are aware and informed of market developments in central region by providing among other things periodic report.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Participates in recruiting, appraising and training subordinate staff<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Training, developing and motivating staff to maximize their contribution to company\u2019s objectives<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Prepare weekly and monthly reports on production.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Champion supervision and utilisation of sales tools to derive productivity in the branch.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Manage sales costs to ensure Revenue and product profitability.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Delegated Authority: As per the approved Delegated Authority Matrix<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Deliver on performance requirements as defined in the departments strategy map, balanced score card and personal score card.<\/p>\n<p>Key Performance Measures<\/p>\n<p>As described in your Personal Scorecard<\/p>\n<p>External Relationships:<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Britam customers<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Insurance sector players<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Agents, banks, brokers, sales force executives and other partners<\/p>\n<p>. Government Regulatory Authorities<\/p>\n<p>Knowledge, experience and qualifications required<\/p>\n<p>Knowledge, experience and qualifications required<\/p>\n<p>1. Bachelor degree (Insurance and business related option preferred).<\/p>\n<p>2. Professional qualification in Insurance (CII certificate).<\/p>\n<p>3. Seven years\u2019 experience in insurance\/banking\/financial services, 2 of which should be at supervisory level.<\/p>\n<p>4. Experience in Sales Training<\/p>\n<p>5. Experience in stakeholder management and working with various teams to ensure branch strategies are achieved.<\/p>\n<p>6. Superior listening, verbal, and written communication skills.<\/p>\n<p>7. Ability to handle stressful situation appropriately.<\/p>\n<p>Technical\/ Functional competencies<\/p>\n<p>1. Knowledge of insurance regulatory requirements<\/p>\n<p>2. Knowledge of insurance products<\/p>\n<p>3. Sales and marketing management skills<\/p>\n<p>4. Excellent organisational and analytical skills<\/p>\n<p>5.
