Our client, a leading force in the media landscape, is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Head of Commercial Operations to provide strategic leadership, optimize operations, and unify core revenue-generating functions. This is a pivotal role for a results-driven professional who will shape the future of the company\u2019s commercial operations and directly contribute to its 2026 strategic goals.<\/p>\n
The role reports directly to the Managing Director and will be the unifying force behind Advertising & Events, Production, and Distribution divisions. The role is also accountable for operational excellence, commercial growth, and process efficiency across the entire value chain.<\/p>\n
Translate corporate strategy into actionable commercial and operational plans.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Drive advertising, events, and circulation revenue through innovative sales and distribution strategies.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Standardize workflows.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Implement continuous improvement systems.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Manage KPIs for turnaround time, quality, and customer satisfaction.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Lead the implementation of digital dashboards.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Drive automation in production scheduling.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Strengthen data-driven decision-making.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Collaborate with Finance, Editorial, and HR to ensure commercial alignment.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Manage key external partnerships with clients, agencies, and logistics providers.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Mentor and lead a team of managers.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and high performance.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
A Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business Administration, Media Management, Operations, or a related field. An MBA or Master\u2019s degree is preferred.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
A minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience in publishing, commercial management, or media operations.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Proven expertise in advertising sales, production, distribution, and logistics management.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Demonstrable experience in leading digital transformation and commercial systems automation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Strong financial acumen with experience managing significant operational budgets.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Experience leading multi-departmental teams across sales, operations, or logistics functions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Exceptional strategic thinking and commercial acumen.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Data-driven with strong analytical and decision-making skills.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Outstanding leadership, coaching, and team development abilities.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
In-depth knowledge of media workflows, supply chain systems, and advertising sales.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
