class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The Policy Analyst will support TICGL\/TERI\u2019s research and advisory activities by analysing public policies, laws, and regulatory frameworks relevant to Tanzania\u2019s economic development, investment climate, and PPP environment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The role involves translating research findings and data into clear, practical, and actionable policy recommendations for government institutions, development partners, and private-sector clients.<\/p>\n<h2>Key duties and responsibilities<\/h2>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The Policy Analyst will be responsible for the following:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Conduct policy research and analysis on macroeconomic, fiscal, investment, and sector-specific issues affecting Tanzania\u2019s development agenda.<\/li>\n<li>Review and interpret laws, regulations, government strategies, including FYDP IV and sector policies, and international agreements relevant to TICGL\u2019s assignments.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare policy briefs, position papers, and technical memoranda that translate research findings into clear recommendations for decision-makers.<\/li>\n<li>Support PPP-related policy and institutional assignments, including analysis aligned with the Public-Private Partnership Centre\u2019s legal and regulatory framework.<\/li>\n<li>Track and analyse policy and regulatory developments relevant to TICGL\u2019s client sectors, including investment, trade, and public finance.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute policy sections and regulatory analysis to proposals, feasibility studies, investor guidebooks, and institutional reports.<\/li>\n<li>Support the organization of public lectures, stakeholder consultations, and policy dialogue events involving government institutions and universities.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with economists and data analysts to ensure policy recommendations are grounded in accurate and verified data and are strictly aligned with authorized source documents.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor the implementation and impact of relevant government policies and programmes, identifying and flagging risks and opportunities for TICGL\u2019s clients.<\/li>\n<li>Support the drafting of formal correspondence, invitation letters, and institutional engagement materials for government and academic partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Qualifications and experience<\/h2>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>A bachelor\u2019s degree in Economics, Public Policy, Political Science, Law, Development Studies, or a related field.<\/li>\n<li>A master\u2019s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>At least two to four years of relevant experience in policy analysis, research, or advisory work.<\/li>\n<li>Experience within a consultancy firm, research institute, government agency, or development-sector organization is preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Sound understanding of Tanzania\u2019s policy and regulatory environment, including investment, PPP, and public finance frameworks.<\/li>\n<li>Strong research, analytical writing, and report-drafting skills.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with data analysis tools, particularly Microsoft Excel.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of STATA or R will be an added advantage in supporting evidence-based policy work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Key competencies<\/h2>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The successful candidate should demonstrate the following competencies:<\/p>\n<ul
