{"id":160,"date":"2025-11-18T09:14:28","date_gmt":"2025-11-18T09:14:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mwanampotevu.co.tz\/?p=160"},"modified":"2025-11-18T09:14:28","modified_gmt":"2025-11-18T09:14:28","slug":"risk-and-compliance-director-at-vodacom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mwanampotevu.co.tz\/index.php\/2025\/11\/18\/risk-and-compliance-director-at-vodacom\/","title":{"rendered":"Risk and Compliance Director at Vodacom"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div>\n<h2>Risk and Compliance Director at Vodacom<\/h2>\n<h2><b>Role Profile &amp; Key Responsibilities<\/b><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Role Purpose:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To ensure that Vodacom Tanzania PLC and its subsidiary companies have adequate risk management program and are compliant with all applicable laws and regulations and rules; all company policies, codes and standards; implement adequate systems and processes to monitor and enforce compliance and manage risks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li><strong>Enterprise Risk Management (ERM):<\/strong><br \/>\nImplement and maintain a robust risk management framework, ensuring effective methods, processes, and controls are in place to identify, assess, and mitigate enterprise risks.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Business Continuity Management (BCM):<\/strong><br \/>\nOversee the business continuity planning lifecycle, ensuring systems of prevention and recovery are established to support uninterrupted operations during and after disaster recovery events.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Security, Investigations &amp; Law Enforcement Assistance (LEA):<\/strong><br \/>\nEnforce security policies and procedures to safeguard company assets, data, employees, and visitors. Ensure timely and fair investigations and provide effective support to law enforcement agencies.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Legal Compliance:<\/strong><br \/>\nDesign and implement a legal compliance programme aligned with globally recognized standards. Ensure significant legal compliance risks are identified, addressed, and managed through consistent application of risk-based processes, controls, and systems.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Training &amp; Awareness:<\/strong><br \/>\nDeliver training and awareness programmes to effectively communicate Vodacom\u2019s compliance standards and requirements to Employees, Directors, Contractors, Subsidiaries, Joint Ventures, and Suppliers.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Anti-Bribery &amp; Corruption (ABC):<\/strong><br \/>\nEnsure all systems, processes, and procedures comply with anti-bribery and corruption legislation and internal policies. Manage the declaration and monitoring of gifts and hospitality in line with ABC requirements.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Economic Sanctions &amp; Trade Export Controls:<\/strong><br \/>\nEnsure full compliance with applicable economic sanctions and trade export control laws and Vodafone Group standards across all transactions, systems, and procedures.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mobile Financial Services Compliance:<\/strong><br \/>\nMaintain appropriate controls to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, particularly Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws, and Vodafone Group standards for mobile financial services.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Policy Compliance Review (PCR):<\/strong><br \/>\nLead and coordinate the annual Policy Compliance Review process, ensuring timely execution and adherence to set deadlines.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Due Diligence for Mergers &amp; Acquisitions (M&amp;A):<\/strong><br \/>\nConduct thorough due diligence for potential M&amp;A transactions, identifying risks related to ABC, AML, anti-terrorist funding, and sanctions. Highlight red flags and successor liability issues, and provide actionable recommendations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<h2><b>Qualification, Competencies, Knowledge &amp; Experience<\/b><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Masters degree in a relevant field.
