Evaluation Officer at Swisscontact"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<p>Under the supervision of the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&amp;E) Coordinator, the M&amp;E Officer will have the following responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage the day-to-day implementation of all M&amp;E activities within the SET project<\/li>\n<li>Support design, analysis and writing up of M&amp;E products<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Tasks<\/h2>\n<p>Under the supervision of the M&amp;E Coordinator, the M&amp;E Officer will perform the following tasks:<\/p>\n<h3>Monitoring<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the design and potential revisions of the monitoring system in close collaboration with the national M&amp;E coordinator<\/li>\n<li>Manage the overall data collection, support analysis and prepare draft reports.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure timely monitoring of project activities and availability of quality data for decision-making and reporting<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all M&amp;E tools and guidelines are up-to-date and accessible, as appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>Manage and update the project database and visualization dashboards<\/li>\n<li>Review, consolidate, and do basic analysis of collected data and information<\/li>\n<li>In close collaboration with the national M&amp;E coordinator, lead the capacity development of project staff and partners on M&amp;E practices, including usage of tools and ensuring data quality<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with and support the technical team with relevant information on progress, achievements, and challenges faced to facilitate evidence-based decision making for project implementation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Evaluations and reports<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the design of studies in close collaboration with the M&amp;E coordinator and manage their implementation<\/li>\n<li>Manage the implementation of studies, including evaluations<\/li>\n<li>Prepare inputs to evaluation and other study reports<\/li>\n<li>Prepare project related, written reports and presentations aligning with the logframe in collaboration with M&amp;E coordinator, technical staff, and partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Learning<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Facilitate integration of knowledge management into the M&amp;E system by documenting best practices, lessons learnt, innovative approaches, and challenges<\/li>\n<li>Organize data review, learning and reflection workshops internally and with project partners<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Other tasks<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Work with the M&amp;E Coordinator in establishing budgets and annual plans<\/li>\n<li>Provide inputs to SET reporting to the Government and SDC<\/li>\n<li>Integrate Swisscontact principles (gender equality, including marginalized groups, climate change resilience, etc) into the M&amp;E system.<\/li>\n<li>Follow Swisscontact\u2019s rules and procedures such as the Code of Conduct (CoC) and Country Manual.<\/li>\n<li>Perform other tasks as agreed with the M&amp;E Coordinator.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Required qualifications,\u00a0experience\u00a0and competencies<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in monitoring and evaluation, statistics, economics, computer science, data science, or related studies.<\/li>\n<li>First work experience in quantitative and\/or qualitative research in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in development projects.<\/li>\n<li>Practical experience supporting or implementing M&amp;E systems, including routine monitoring and reporting, is an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Experience across the data value chain (data collection, cleaning, analysis, and visualisation).<\/li>\n<li>Experience using digital data collection tools (e.g. KoboToolbox, ODK or similar) is an asset.<\/li>\n<li>Experience managing project databases and basic data visualisation dashboards is an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Exposure to supporting studies or evaluations (e.g. baseline, endline, tracer studies) is an asset.<\/li>\n<li>Experience supporting capacity development of staff or partners on M&amp;E practices and data quality is an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Interest in or basic understanding of learning, reflection, and evidence-based decision-making processes.<\/li>\n<li>Basic understanding of Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) and climate change considerations in project work.<\/li>\n<li>High attention to detail and strong commitment to data quality.<\/li>\n<li>Good level of oral and written English and Swahili<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Interested candidates are invited to submit CVs with a motivation letter\/cover letter in English including\u00a0<strong>three (3) referees<\/strong> to\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mabumbe.com\/cdn-cgi\/l\/email-protection#a3d1c6c0d1d6cad7cec6cdd78dd0c6d7e3d0d4cad0d0c0cccdd7c2c0d78dccd1c4\"><strong>\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment.set@swisscontact.org\">recruitment.set@swisscontact.org<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>not later than\u00a0<strong>17.00 (EAT) on 12th June 2026<\/strong>.
