The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely procurement, maintaining supplier relationships, managing purchase records, and supporting efficient store operations.<\/p>\n<p>Location: Arusha<\/p>\n<p>Industry: Tourism<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Identify and source quality spare parts, tools, and materials as required by the store and maintenance teams.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare, review, and process Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with company procurement procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain a list of approved suppliers and continuously evaluate supplier performance (pricing, quality, reliability).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Request quotations, compare prices, and negotiate for the best value.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure timely delivery of items and follow up with suppliers on order status.<\/li>\n<li>Verify quality, quantity, and specifications of all received items before handing them to the store.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain accurate procurement records, receipts, and documentation for audit purposes.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with the Spare Storekeeper to monitor stock levels and forecast purchasing needs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and operational guidelines.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Qualifications &amp; Experience<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.<\/li>\n<li>At least 2\u20133 years of procurement experience, preferably in spare parts, automotive, mechanical, or industrial environments.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong knowledge of spare parts, tools, and maintenance materials is an added advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure and meet strict timelines.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of procurement systems\/software is a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Key Competencies<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Integrity and professionalism<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and decision-making abilities<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Accurate record keeping<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Teamwork and collaboration<\/li>\n<li>Cost-conscious and value-driven mindset<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>HOW TO APPLY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you believe you meet the criteria for the above positions, please submit your CV, Cover letter, and Professional Certificates to <a href=\"mailto:careerintanzania@gmail.com\">careerintanzania@gmail.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>YOUR EMAIL SUBJECT MUST READ \u201c<strong>APPLICATION FOR PROCUREMENT OFFICER-SPARE STORES\u201d.<\/strong>\u00a0An email with no above Subject will not be considered.<\/p>\n<p>Note: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
