purpose<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"462\" data-end=\"560\">Management of defaulted borrowers by devising strategies to ensure maximum recoveries\/collections.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"562\" data-end=\"658\">Ensuring that recovery actions are done timely and cost effectively to maximize the bank profit.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"660\" data-end=\"876\">Closely working with business team, legal team and other stakeholders inside and outside the bank aiming to improve recovery rate and constantly providing feedback as a lesson learnt to the business\/origination team.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"1snf49h\" data-start=\"878\" data-end=\"913\">Main duties and responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul data-start=\"915\" data-end=\"2628\">\n<li data-section-id=\"q8r973\" data-start=\"915\" data-end=\"1008\">Review customers\u2019 cases and devise strategy to enable the bank to maximize loan collection.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"wqk3ru\" data-start=\"1009\" data-end=\"1086\">Advising supervisor and or bank management on the best recovery strategies.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"3iyh69\" data-start=\"1087\" data-end=\"1223\">Review and visit collaterals for defaulted customers and respectively strategize recovery action\/route for each collaterals\/customers.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1rid126\" data-start=\"1224\" data-end=\"1299\">Institute recovery action on all defaulted accounts as and when required.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1wmh0bv\" data-start=\"1300\" data-end=\"1446\">Timeous and adequate actioning of all accounts in terms of recovery strategy to ensure maximization of recoveries and hitting the agreed target.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"udksiq\" data-start=\"1447\" data-end=\"1631\">Develop recovery actions for each account under his\/her portfolio and follow up implementation of the actions to ensure maximum recovery are made in line with the bank budget\/target.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1n1wb17\" data-start=\"1632\" data-end=\"1730\">Identify accounts with settlement and follow the laid procedure to ensure settlement is reached.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1w9i4p7\" data-start=\"1731\" data-end=\"1774\">Mentoring and supervising of junior staff<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1de3flv\" data-start=\"1775\" data-end=\"1879\">Ensure recovery actions are made according to the laid down bank policy, procedure and governing laws.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1tox6bb\" data-start=\"1880\" data-end=\"2005\">Timely follow up with external collection agents (Auctioneers\/Debt Collectors) to ensure fulfilment of the assigned duties.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"12jm7n1\" data-start=\"2006\" data-end=\"2161\">Provide weekly and monthly report on progress of Recovery, Projections for recoveries and number of recoveries made within the specific time as required.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"fn9udl\" data-start=\"2162\" data-end=\"2395\">Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and supervisory requirements, to protect the reputation of the Bank and to avoid legal action\/sanction or consequential losses in respect of regulatory and operational compliance matters<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"18ti6tz\" data-start=\"2396\" data-end=\"2437\">Adhere to Bank policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"g15uxn\" data-start=\"2438\" data-end=\"2628\">Timeously refer all insurance claims, retrenchments, disabilities, deceased, and insolvencies, tracing matters, investigation matters and recommended repossession action to the supervisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2
