We serve all people with dignity and respect regardless of faith or background.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Guided by our core values of\u00a0<strong>Faith, Empowerment, and Recovery<\/strong>, the\u00a0<strong>Finance &amp; Admin Officer<\/strong>\u00a0plays a key role in supporting both financial and administrative functions of FHI Tanzania. This includes managing day-to-day financial transactions, grant and budget monitoring, and ensuring compliance with local tax laws, donor requirements, and internal financial controls. The role also provides essential administrative support including procurement processing, office logistics coordination, and HR documentation support. The officer will work closely with the\u00a0<strong>Designated Supervisor<\/strong>\u00a0and program teams to ensure effective stewardship of resources, strong accountability, and operational efficiency.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain accurate bookkeeping and proper filing of financial records and supporting documents<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and process payroll, statutory deductions, and oversee petty cash management<\/li>\n<li>Perform bank reconciliations, manage petty cash, and monitor cash flow<\/li>\n<li>Support preparation of budgets, financial reports, and internal financial summaries<\/li>\n<li>Support statutory compliance tasks (as applicable), including documentation for relevant filings<\/li>\n<li>Manage procurement administration: quotation comparisons, purchase documentation, vendor records, and asset register support<\/li>\n<li>Support office administration, logistics coordination, and general operational tasks as assigned<\/li>\n<li>Ensure adherence to Tanzanian tax regulations and FHI financial policies<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with banks, auditors, and donors on financial matters<\/li>\n<li>Train staff on financial procedures and promote accountability and transparency<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Minimum Qualifications<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (professional certification is an advantage)<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in finance\/admin roles (INGO\/development sector experience is an advantage)<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (budget tracking and reporting)<\/li>\n<li>Experience with QuickBooks is a strong advantage<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with Tanzanian statutory compliance<\/li>\n<li>CPA or ACCA qualification is an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail, integrity, and ability to maintain confidentiality<\/li>\n<li>Working proficiency in English and Swahili<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Safeguarding<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>FHI Tanzania is committed to safeguarding and protection from sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (PSEAH).
