Reporting Lines<\/p>\n
The Human Resources Assistant will work under the overall supervision of the FAO Representative and the direct supervision of the Assistant FAO Representative (Administration), with overall guidance from the Representation Human Resources Specialist. The Human Resources Assistant will collaborate closely with colleagues within the Representation office as well as colleagues from other FAO offices, to provide and coordinate human resources management support.<\/p>\n
Technical Focus<\/p>\n
The Human Resources Assistant coordinates and performs the full range of human resources support functions. He\/she ensures quality, transparency and consistency of data and processes within his\/her area of responsibility and contributes to the smooth functioning of human resources operations.<\/p>\n
Tasks and responsibilities<\/p>\n
\u2022 Support the overall hiring plan for hiring of national and international affiliate workforce.
\n\u2022 Develop and\/or review Terms of Reference of affiliate workforce and ensure compliance with current standards and regulations.
\n\u2022 Coordinate and manage the publication of calls to attract candidates for vacancies related to national and international affiliate workforce, ensuring proper dissemination to attract qualified talent.
\n\u2022 Organize and facilitate the selection process, including coordinating interviews with the selection panel and preparing reports on evaluated candidates.
\n\u2022 Manage the complete cycle of contracts for national and international affiliate workforce in the Global Resource Management System (GRMS), ensuring the collection and verification of required documentation.
\n\u2022 Supervise the validity of contracts for national and international affiliate workforce in and take appropriate measures in coordination with supervisors for renewal or termination as necessary.
\n\u2022 Provide administrative support, including recording worked hours for the payment of fees to national and international consultants and other related tasks.
\n\u2022 Collaborate in implementing actions to promote a respectful and harmonious work environment, aligned with the organization\u2019s values and commitments.
\n\u2022 Facilitate knowledge exchange and best practices within the office, promoting collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation.
\n\u2022 Assist in the performance evaluation process of national and international consultants, providing logistical and administrative support for the preparation and recording of their performance evaluation reports (QAR).
\n\u2022 Ensure strict confidentiality in the handling of personnel records, contractual information, and other sensitive organizational data.
\n\u2022 Perform additional duties as assigned in support of HR operations and office priorities.<\/p>\n

Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\u2022 University degree in Human resources management, Business Administration or any other related field
\n\u2022 Four years of relevant experience in administrative and\/or human resources support work, with at least two years in HR management.
\n\u2022 Working knowledge (proficient \u2013 level C) of English and Swahili.
\n\u2022 National of the United Republic of Tanzania or resident of the country with a valid work permit.<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 Good knowledge of the communication and documentation standards.
