Applications are open for the African Forum and Network on Debt and Development (AFRODAD) Internship Programme 2026. This six-month programme offers aspiring professionals an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in policy, research and advocacy, campaigns and communication, finance, human resources and admin, and monitoring and evaluation while contributing to Africa’s economic justice agenda.

Successful interns will work alongside experienced professionals, deepen their understanding of debt management, development finance, and sustainable development, and strengthen their analytical, research, communication, and leadership skills. Applications are now open for ten internship positions across various departments.

Eligibility

  • Education – Must have completed a bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: Finance, Administration, Human Resources, Communications, Data Science, Development Economics, Economics, International Development, International Relations, Law, or Statistics.
  • Skills- strong analytical and written skills; as well as strong public speaker
  • A good understanding of African perspectives on development and finance and passion to advance Africa’s agenda on the global stage,
  • Ability to work remotely where necessary (AFRODAD will provide necessary support for remote working).
  • Language – English and French (For Cameroon)
  • Desire and effort to learn and grow professionally
