Title: Pharmacy Supervisor

Duration: 12 months (Fixed Term Contract) – Full time position (100%)

Direct Reports: Project Medical Referent.

Location: Nduta Camp and Kibondo (Kigoma Region)

Required Criteria:

Minimum Educational Qualification:

·       Essential: Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and registration in Tanzania.

Experience:

·       Essential 1 year of demonstrated, experience as a pharmacist with a valid licence. Experience in MSF or other NGO’s in developing countries is desirable

Languages:

·       Essential mission language: English and Swahili (Kirundi and/or French will be a plus.)

Main Responsibilities:

MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities·         Consumption monitoring in IPD units, raising an alert in case of overconsumption or changes in trends, overstocks, shortages and expiries and offering solutions.

·         Ensuring that the IPD units are adhering to the SOPs set as far as pharmacy management is concerned and report any changes to the manager.

·         Supervision of the stock and ordering process (preparation, prioritization, follow up), including data entry and storing condition.

·         Monitoring, supervising and closely follow up the overall movement, consumption, and proper recording of controlled drugs in the ledger books to different IPD units.

·         Ensure the supervision of the hospital ward pharmacies and the OPD dispensary (cupboard, standard lists and NCD programme).

·         Ensure the proper report in the medical meeting.

·         Train and coach pharmacy assistants on key pharmaceutical issues especially OPD dispensers.

·         Perform any other duties and accountabilities assigned by your supervisor.
